Paleo Analysis is a channel made by a guy who never outgrew his childhood obsession with dinosaurs. Now as a grown man my love has expanded to encompass all of natural history as a whole. From paleo profiles explaining everything we know about a specific creature to filming my adventures fossil hunting, this channel is my way of educating people and sharing my passion for earth's past.

Ahhh yes the time jack horner saved us by pleading his case before the military at 5 no less an accomplished fellow
Thosed horned bastards
Ah shit… Spinosaurus arms is fucking unknown!?!?!?!
I hope you finish your Complete History of the Earth series :) It's so entertaining and educational!
Nice video but I have to critique the fact that you portray the Dinocephalians as struggling thanks to Olsons Event on reality they hit their prime after the Olsons event with their largest forms like Anteosaurus evolving their extinction was due to the Guadpulian Extinction Event that occurred 12 million years after the Olsons Event.
Come on guys: finish the dinosaurs. I won't let an asteroid get you. Promise.
Come on! Lystrosaurus surviving by burrowing under the ground. The truth is that we do not know why lystrosaurus survived when so many other animals went extinct.
Thank you for noticing Kaimere. A project I highly enjoy and like to geek out about. And the sloths on Kaimere are also amazing. Many marine sloths and land sloths.
No, no, no, no, no. A mystical creator made everything, it's written in the Bible. Hahaha just joking can't believe people think that actually happened. Thanks for some sense.
This is super easy and interesting to listen to. I'd love one covering the dinosaurs :)
I just binged this whole playlist, please come back and tell me more about the dinosaurs fossil boy
Actually, assuming that you ended up time travelling to the Devonian period for whatever reason, Dunkleosteus’ smaller size would actually make it MORE dangerous to you, not less. This is because its shorter length, along with the size of the fish it would’ve fed on, would mean that it would be far more likely to consider you a food source than it would’ve at the original estimated size.
Awesome video🎉
🎉
i do kidna liek the cynobactira are liek relay anyoing cells and even tim tim is anyoed off

One of my favorite places to visit in the Black Hills. Why isn’t Everything Prehistoric in the Best of the Black Hills Contest 2024? They would surely get my vote! Just wish I lived closer so that I could go there more often.
Has anyone considered that Barryonix and Suchomimus where actually young versions of Spinosaurus? It would be feasible to suggest that a migration to a nesting zone (being the arcipeligo of islands that made up large parts of Europe in late Jurrassic/early Cretatious) featured in the life adaptations of Spinoitsaurs. A good example of mis-identification of species would be the Nano-tyranosaurus being mistaken as another species when in actual fact the Nano-tyranosaurus was a young T-Rex. So a juvinille Spinosaur is the Barryonix, a sub-adult is the Suchomimus and finally the adult we know of is the Spinosaurus. As these creatures grow, bones change shape and evolve into adult form. Is there conclusive evedence that this theory is wrong and why has it never been debated before in modern mainstream paleontology? Another theory I've also had about the Spinosaurus is that the sail was used as and ambush weapon, on the tips of the spines, is there evedence of something else that could've been attached to the end of the spine, something along the lines of a type of claw made of carentine? The Spinosaurs could swim under a large water bourne creature and surrate the underside of the intended prey item, bleeding it out before using those jaws to clamp down on a killer bite when the prey item would be weak enough to control? Is it also possible the the spine could be flexable enough to fold back making the Spinosaur more streamlined for faster swimming when bursts of speed maybe required?
Glad you had a minute to do this video. Hope your life has cleared up enough to see another History of the Earth upload
Yes yes yes!!!
we need a followup videooooooo
Would be interesting if it ends up being rediscovered to be a head of an ancient snapping turtle of the ocean. 😅
That would be very cool. Because that would also make it by far the oldest turtle ever discovered! By a lot...
Very few nearly complete dinosaur skeletons are known. This makes it certainty difficult to be certain of their exact physiology and taxonomy. Many dinosaurs are only known from partial remain, an isolated skull or jaw, and sometimes much less. Its what makes them so mysterious and alluring to contemplate their exact nature and overall looks. Until better specimens are found, many will remain largly a mystery.
This is so good, that it’s my comfort video. You are amazing for giving this to us. Just wow!
You spelled "Species" wrong in your video title.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice video i really appreciate the explanation by the way i am from❤🇮🇳🇮🇳 INDIA 🇮🇳🇮🇳❤
The only reason I like dino theorizing is because I’m just waiting for us to invent time travel to get a good look at these weird looking guys
I remember first hearing about Spinosaurus from JP3, thinking no way did it stand on its hind legs like that. To the point I even checked what parts of the skeleton they had found at the time - nothing much leg related - and knew that they had it wrong. When the newer bodyform images came out, I did have a small 'told ya so' moment! Haha!!
Spinosaurus: Did it _really_ have only _one_ head? Also it's been like a month, so all of this information has probably become so _wrong_ that it rolled right back to being _right_ again.
awesome find. congrats.
I absolutely love talking about spinosaurids because of how unique they are. I do understand why people don’t like talking about it though… because of how little we know and how the community can easily get heated, it makes sense. I did really love this video though! It’s such a fun topic to me and thats why spinosaurus has always been my favourite! The story of spinosaurus is also very sad and interesting! The amount of science destroyed to time and unnecessary destruction is incredibly sad but serves as a reminder as to why we can’t let it happen. Cannot wait to see what else we discover in my lifetime!! I think I’ll subscribe now because this is something I’m really passionate about. Being a palaeontologist is one of the fields I’m considering pursuing! biology in general is awesome, alive and dead! ❤
Truly enjoyed your very informative video. Do you believe Homotherium should be cloned back into existence? If so, would it survive in today's America?
I love your content, but I wish you did it without the silliness.
How very dull of you.
For those who don't know, the real reason is because the debate surrounding spinosaurus and it's relatives is so heated there isnt really a point in making entire videos about it because it'll be outdated in a few months at best and needs to be constantly updated, and I do mean constantly. It's just not worth the time or the trouble unless you are one of the many people passionate about the family.
That's the common trend I've seen at least. Just seems like the most logical reason to avoid the topic altogether.
Looking forward for the next episode
I ain't Australian but i somehow never got the hype on Australia being dangerous like hello AFRICA AND ASIA exist
I hate a Spinosaurid as no man ever did before. (Jk it was a Charles Darwin Barnacle Reference)
Rest in Peace, Tim Tim. Seriously though, I admire that you set out on such a large goal as creating this entire, multi-hour informative tour through the ancient times of the Earth. Great work!
Dinosaurs are just rabbit holeee creatures after all this time.
Fun video. Keep it up
